Futbolfit 5v5 Tournament a Huge Success!!
This past weekend Futbolfit held the first annual 5v5 Indoor Soccer tournament at the brand new Futbolfit Soccer Complex. There were four age divisions, Under 9, Under 13, High School Boys, and an Adult Division. Competition was tight, and only one champion remained standing at the end of the day on Sunday in each division.
In the Under 9 division, the Comets and Diggers met in the finals for an intense back and forth game. The Comets prevailed with a 5-1 win and were crowned champions.
In the Under 13 Boys division, the Dynamo and BSC Cardinal boys made it to the finals to play each other the second time. The first time they played, it was a very close game, 8-8 going in to the last minute of play. In the finals, BSC Cardinal put it to the Dynamo winning 18-10.
In the High School boys division, the Assassins and team Alliance met for a nail bitting final. The Assassins had played almost a perfect game earlier in the morning to get to the finals. The lead changed 4 teams during the course of the game with 3 ties. Team Alliance scored with one minute to go to take the final lead at 4-3, and stalled out the last minute to take the championship.
In the Adult division, the Phoenix and Hurricanes battled for the championship. After the Hurricanes went ahead 2-0 first, the Phoenix pushed hard to take the lead and never looked back.
We want to thank everyone for an awesome and exciting tournament. This is the first 5v5 indoor soccer tournament ever in Alamance County.
Futbolfit will host another 5v5 indoor soccer tournament during the Winter!
